Ronald Satz, academic affairs, and Andrew Phillips, computer science, were quoted in the Sept. 7 Leader-Telegram article "UW-EC initiative hit by high-tech slump — Programs fail to attract more students," about state budget cuts to the Chippewa Valley Initiative program and the decline in demand for workers with high-tech skills. Kimamo Wahome, Upward Bound, was quoted in the Sept. 6 Leader-Telegram article "Success bound Kenyan native makes connections through college-prep program," about his work with area high school students enrolled in UW-Eau Claire's Upward Bound program.
