Web site redesign preview now available
A prototype offering a limited number of redesigned upper level pages of the UW-Eau Claire Web site is now available online. The work group chartered to redesign the upper level pages has finalized design, navigation and technical considerations. Content development is ongoing and staff members are encouraged to check the site periodically for updates.

Following an initial prototype review period, it is anticipated the redesign will be completed in the coming weeks. If all goes as planned, the new Web redesign will “go live” prior to the eight week Summer Session, which begins June 12.

The redesign has been presented to a number of groups on campus that represent faculty, staff, students and administration, and their suggestions have been taken into consideration as the redesign has progressed. Your feedback also is welcome. Comments can be submitted via the Web.

Members of the Web redesign work group include Lillian Hillis and Brian Hogan, Computing and Networking Services; Mindy Merryfield and Mari Jo Janke, Publications; Michelle Karstensen, Records and Registration; Judy Berthiaume, News Bureau; and Mike Rindo, University Communications. Do your part to reduce utility expenses
To help reduce UW-Eau Claire’s electrical bills, the Physical Plant Planning Committee of the University Senate, Facilities Planning and Management and the Teaching and Learning Technology Development Center ask you to:

Turn your computer monitors off at night. Do not turn off your CPU — "log off" instead.
For weekends, short vacations and extended absences, turn off your monitor and "shut down" your CPU.

Be aware that when you turn your computer on after an extended absence, it will be slow, as it is processing updates from the system.Go to top of page
