If members of the media have interviewed you, e-mail Liz Wolf Green at greenew@uwec.edu, so she may share the news with University Bulletin readers. Following are examples of UW-Eau Claire people and programs that recently appeared in the media. NOTE: Some newspapers, including the Leader-Telegram, require free registration. Wayne Carroll,
economics, was quoted in the April 1 Leader-Telegram article "American
Girl jobs mostly part time," about the closing of the American
Girl call center in Eau Claire. Carroll and Eric
Jamelske, economics, were quoted in the April 4 Leader-Telegram
articles "Layoffs
don't compare (I) — Officials say recent job losses differ from
Uniroyal closing" and "Layoffs
don't compare (II)." Lark Keating-Hadlock,
Carol Lonning and Laura Roach, McIntyre
Library; and Katherine Schneider, Counseling
Services, participated in the 3rd Annual Literacy Volunteers-Chippewa
Valley Scrabble Bee, which was featured on WEAU-TV April 1. Representing
the UW-Eau Claire McIntyre Library, the team placed sixth out of 30
teams and received special recognition for collecting the most pledges
— $876. Rebecca Hebbring,
a UW-Eau Claire student and intern at Wisconsin Public Radio, was
a guest on the WPR show "Spectrum West," March 25. Hebbring
discussed the UW-Eau Claire Forensics special, the March 28 WPR show
she produced. Susan Turell,
