If members of the media have interviewed you, e-mail Liz Wolf Green at greenew@uwec.edu, so she may share the news with University Bulletin readers. Following are examples of UW-Eau Claire people and programs that recently appeared in the media. NOTE: Some newspapers, including the Leader-Telegram, require free registration. Kris Anderson, Admissions,
and Chancellor Donald Mash were
quoted in the March 6 Wisconsin State Journal article "Campus
crunch: High-grade students flock to La Crosse, Eau Claire."
Barbara Blackdeer-Mackenzie, communication
and journalism, and Jane Hamilton-Merritt, Southeast Asia expert,
will be guests on the Wisconsin Public Radio show "The West Side,
" hosted by Mary Jo Wagner, March 9. They will discuss the First
Nations/New Nations conference and how minorities, specifically Hmong
and Native Americans, are poorly portrayed by the media. The music of Alexandre
Dossin, music and theatre arts, was
featured on the Wisconsin Public Radio show "Spectrum West"
March 4. Ali Abootalebi, political
science, appeared Feb. 29 on WEAU-TV to talk about his sabbatical
in Iran and his research work there. Abootalebi also was interviewed
Feb. 20 for PM with Mark Colvin, a program that is broadcast around
Australia on Radio National and on ABC Local Radio. The transcript
of "Iran:
2 reformist newspapers closed approaching the election" is
available online. Todd Hoffner,
kinesiology and athletics, was quoted in an Associated Press/Leader-Telegram
story that ran in the March 1 Sun Herald (southern Mississippi). The
article, titled "UW-Eau
Claire player continues recovery after brain injury," is
