emeritus, political science, was quoted in
the Feb. 19 Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel article "One's
done, three are left: Elite group of original skiers gathering for
Birkie." Andresen, who has completed 30 Birkebeiner races,
retired his red "Founders" bib, No. 1, this year. Terry Allen,
music and theatre arts, and several UW-Eau Claire students, including
Monette Bebow-Reinhard, a
work study student in Foundation, were quoted in the Feb. 18 Leader-Telegram
article "Candidates'
chances, ideas sway local voters." Chris Kirchman, University
Police, was quoted in the Feb. 17 Leader-Telegram article "Monthly
car seat safety checks help parents protect passengers."
Kirchman performs car seat safety checks in Eau Claire. Karl Markgraf,
Center for International Education, and James
Brummer, philosophy and religious studies, were quoted in the
Feb. 16 Leader-Telegram article "UW-EC
professor promoted cultures," about Richard deGrood.
Kim Johnson, Lindsay
Krueger and Pa Houa Lo, members of Phi Alpha, the social work
honor society, were quoted in the Feb. 15 Leader-Telegram article
"Prom
'n' aid." The students are involved in a Cinderella's Closet
project in which they collect new and used formals and give them away
to students unable to afford prom dresses.
Jody Sekas,
music and theatre arts, was quoted in the Feb. 15 Leader-Telegram
article "Behind
the scenes," about the exhibit "Willing Suspension of
Disbelief" at the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library. Sekas'
work is featured in the exhibit, which will be on display through
Feb. 25. Andy Soll, Business
and Student Services, and John Bachmeier,
Alumni Relations, were quoted in the Feb. 12 Leader-Telegram article
"UW-EC
officials pleased Mash uninterested in job."
Ray Francis, Custodial
Services, was quoted in an article titled "The '"Familiarity
Formula'" in the February 2004 issue of Cleaning & Maintenance
Management magazine. The article discussed strategies for managing
cleaning workers in new settings. |
