On behalf of the faculty, staff and students of UW-Eau Claire, Summer Times welcomes and extends best wishes to Chancellor-designate Donald Mash, who recently arrived on campus.
Mash is the former president of Wayne State College in Nebraska and recently married his fiancee, Cynthia Gray. Gray will join the department of foundations of education as a senior lecturer this fall.
Mash will be presiding over and conferring degrees for the 1998 August commencement ceremony held Saturday, Aug. 8, and will be installed as chancellor officially on Saturday, Oct. 24, in Zorn Arena. UW System President Katharine Lyall will oversee the event and will present the university medallion to Mash.
