Employers
seek out UW-Eau Claire graduates
Ninety-eight percent of alumni responding to a
Career Services' survey have indicated that they are either
employed or continuing their education a year after graduating
from UW-Eau Claire.
"More employers than ever are
recruiting UW-Eau Claire students for internships and full-time
jobs," says Jeanne Skoug, Career Services director.
"The number of employers contacting
our office is up 37 percent from a year ago," Skoug said.
"Given the economy, employers are being careful to make the
right hire. They have confidence in our students and graduates so
they're seeking them out."
The 2000-01 employment survey is based on
a 67 percent response rate, or 1,103 responses from the 1,654
graduates.
