Summer
Shorts Film Series. The Summer Shorts
film series continues today with a collection of 2007 Wis-Kino
Kabaret films, created by a collaborative of independent filmmakers
in the Madison area. The collection will screen today and July
9 at 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. in Davies Theatre, and July 10 at
the State Regional Arts Center Gallery in downtown Eau Claire. More

Faculty
Member on WPR. Dwight C. Watson, College of Education
and Human Sciences, will be a guest on Wisconsin Public Radio's "The
West Side." He will discuss how UW-Eau Claire and the Eau Claire
Area School District hope to improve cultural understanding among current
and future teachers. The show begins at 5 p.m. on WHWC, 88.3 FM. More

Planetarium Program. Tonight's
show, "Ancient
Horizons," is recommended for adults and children 10 and older.
Tickets are $2 and will be sold at the planetarium before the show.

Native American Flute Association Convention. The 2008 International
Native American Flute Association Convention will be held July 9-13
at UW-Eau Claire's Haas Fine Arts Center. The goal of INAFA is to foster
the preservation, appreciation and advancement of Native American flute.
INAFA members, musicians, music enthusiasts, educators, members of the
Native American community and the general public are invited to the
multicultural musical and educational event. More
