Kathy Tank remembered during
library presentation
Kathy
Tank, a UW-Eau Claire staff member who died Nov. 14, 2007, from complications
related to Lou Gehrig's disease, will be remembered during a presentation
titled "River of Hope: One Couple's Search for Healing from Lou
Gehrig's Disease." The presentation will be held at 7 p.m. June
12 in the Eau Claire Room of the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library
in Eau Claire.
David Tank, Kathy's husband and author of
the new book "River of Hope: My Journey with Kathy in Search of Healing
from Lou Gehrig's Disease," will present a brief program about his
wife's battle with the disease. Kathy's inspiring and heartbreaking
story of determination to beat a disease the "experts" told her
was unbeatable reveals how she discovered a sense of hope through
alternative approaches to preventing and treating her disease. More
information about the presentation is available on the library's
Web site.
