Jodi Simek has been elected secretary of StudyWisconsin, an organization that promotes Wisconsin as a study destination to potential international students and scholars, for a one-year term. The organization's goals are to promote Wisconsin as a study destination, facilitate partnerships between Wisconsin and foreign schools, and support the growth of international trade and commerce by fostering globalization of educational opportunities and training throughout the state.

Susan Moch (Family Health Nursing) and Ruth Cronje (English) had their article titled "New Knowledge Discussion Groups: Counteracting the Common Barriers to Evidence-Based Practice" published in Worldviews in Evidence-Based Nursing, second quarter 2007, pages 112-115.
Sociology
Tarique Niazi has been appointed to the Rural Sociological Society
Membership Committee for 2007-08 by the national president of the RSS. The committee will meet in Santa Clara, Calif.
