Center for International Education
Susan Lochner presented "Incredible Tools: Study Abroad Major Advising Sheets" with colleagues from UC-San Diego and Michigan State University at the annual NAFSA: Association of International Educators conference in Minneapolis. Lochner also presented a session with colleagues from the University of Minnesota and the University of South Carolina titled "Prepare Yourself to Land That Job in International Education."
Foreign Languages/Latin American Studies
Analisa DeGrave published "Ecoliterature and Dystopia: Gardens and Topos in Modern Latin American Poetry" in Confluencia: Revista Hispanica de Cultura y Literatura (Spring 2007). 
Learning and Technology Services
Bill Hoepner's photo, “I've got the whole …” (an experimental shot taken for a possible illustration for The View, UW-Eau Claire's printed alumni publication), took first place in the personal vision category of the April University Photographers Association of America image competition. Rick Mickelson's photo, “Carrying the Mail” (showing sophomore Blugold track and field sprinter Frankie Adams carrying the baton across the finish line while winning the 4x100 relay), was a third-place winner in the sports division of the same competition. Dale Taylor (emeritus) presented "Multicultural Considerations in Group Counseling" to the Graduate class on Counseling in Groups May 29 at the Chippewa Valley Center of Lakeland College.
