Summer Fitness Classes. A number of fitness classes will be offered on campus during Summer Session. See complete schedule.

Music on the Mall. This summer's Music on the Mall series will conclude tonight with a performance by Dennis Warner. Blending acoustic folk-country music and humor, Warner presents upbeat, up-tempo family concerts in more than 100 cities each year — from small village gatherings in Alaska to huge auditoriums in Florida. Audience members are invited to bring blankets or folding chairs for lawn seating. Free popcorn will be provided and other refreshments will be sold. Saturday, Aug. 5
Summer Commencement. Commencement exercises for 236 graduation candidates will begin at 9:30 a.m. in Zorn Arena. Tickets are not required. UW System Regent Vice President Mark Bradley will deliver the "Charge to the Class." A reception for graduates and guests will follow the ceremony on the Central Campus Mall. In case of rain, the reception will be held in the Spruce-Tamarack Room of Davies Center. Full story.

Alumni Awards Luncheon. Seven individuals will be honored: Craig Ungerecht, Outstanding Recent Alumnus Award; Jeff Nelson, Outstanding Recent Alumnus Award; Bridget Nelson, Outstanding Recent Alumnus Award; Mary Hilfiker, President's Award; Richard Schroder, President's Award; John Wallace, Alumni Distinguished Achievement Award; and Ruth Wallace, Alumni Distinguished Achievement Award.
