Bob Baca was a member of the band for the Broadway show "Wicked," which was performed July 12-22 at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis.

Congratulations to Marc McEllistrem, chemisty, and his wife, Laurel, on the birth of son Sean on July 20. Sean weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces and was 22 inches long when he was born. He joins siblings Marcus, Michael and Grace.

Congratulations to Renee Strehlau, Facilities Planning and Management, and her husband, Dan, on the birth of daughter Kali Marie on April 28. Kali weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces and was 19 inches long when she was born. She joins brother Logan, 3.

Condolences
Condolences to the family of Juanita Sorenson. Sorenson, a UW-Eau Claire professor emerita of education, died June 14 in Madison. She was a member of the UW-Eau Claire faculty from 1971-88. Full obituary.
