Following are examples of UW-Eau Claire people and programs that recently appeared in the media. NOTE: Some newspapers, including the Leader-Telegram, require free registration. Alexandre Dossin, music and theatre arts, discussed his new CD, “A Touch of Brazil,” and his recent U.S. and international tours on the Wisconsin Public Radio show Spectrum West June 30. Michele Olson, Development/Alumni Relations, was quoted in the June 29 Leader-Telegram article “Top gymnasts invade Menomonie for national meet.” UW-Eau Claire student volunteers were mentioned in a June 29 WQOW-TV story about the benefits of gaining work experience through volunteering. UW-Eau Claire student Nate Daniels was featured in the June 28 Leader-Telegram article “Colorful job — Student-run painting company provides experience for amateurs.” UW-Eau Claire student Andy Landgraf also was quoted in the article. David Jones, English, a 2005 St. Paul Pioneer Press community columnist, had his article “Lynching apology: Reconciliation and reality” published in the June 26 St. Paul Pioneer Press. UW-Eau Claire student Sara Obermeyer-Tuttle was featured in the June 24 Capital Times article “Badger State Games: Disability doesn’t slow down swimmer.” Rob Welcher, kinesiology, the UW-Eau Claire swimming and diving coach, also was mentioned in the article. |
