Construction traffic/parking update
Beginning Monday, July 19, Garfield Avenue will be closed at the Schofield turnaround for the remainder of the riverbank project. Large equipment will be stationed on the street and trucks hauling boulders will be traveling in both directions.

Film script writing class to be offered
UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education/Extension will offer a film script writing class for English, theater, drama and language teachers, and others who want to conform to industry standards and achieve a professional level of competence.
Classes will be held from 6-7:15 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, Sept. 27-Dec. 8, at the UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education office, 210 Water Street, Eau Claire. Recently retired professor of theatre, Wil Denson, will teach the practical realities of writing for the film industry: saleable ideas, structure, character and dialog writing, format and marketing. Become a host family/friend to an international student
Host families/friends provide a three-day home stay for international students when they arrive in Eau Claire. Home stay dates for fall 2004 are Aug. 26-28.
