| If members of the media have interviewed you, e-mail Liz Wolf Green at greenew@uwec.edu, so she may share the news with University Bulletin readers. Following are examples of UW-Eau Claire people and programs that recently appeared in the media. NOTE: Some newspapers, including the Leader-Telegram, require free registration. Vicki Snider, special education, was interviewed on WEAU-TV July 8 for a piece about the LEAP clinic. Patricia Turner and John Mann, history, were quoted in the July 7 Leader-Telegram article "UW-EC gets $1 million grant — History teachers benefit." Turner also was interviewed by WEAU-TV and WQOW-TV July 7 following the presentation of a $1 million grant to UW-Eau Claire for the "Learning by Doing: Public History in the Clasroom" program. Geoff Peterson, political science, and UW-Eau Claire student Adrian Klenz were quoted in the July 6 Leader-Telegram article "Edwards brings youth, energy to Kerry ticket." Results of a recent UW-Eau Claire Career Services survey were mentioned on Wisconsin Public Radio July 5. The survey showed that 97 percent of the 2002-03 UW-Eau Claire graduates who responded to the survey were employed or continuing their education a year after graduation. Charles Vue, Office of Multicultural Affairs, was quoted in the July 4 Leader-Telegram article "American dreams — The process of becoming a citizen is hard but worth it, Hmong refugees say." |
