Doug Olson, Jennifer Johs-Artisensi
and Meredith
Wolf organized a two-day conference designed
for people involved in development and fund-raising efforts. The conference,
titled "Fundraising in a Health and Aging Service Organization:
The Basics and Beyond," will be held July
23 and 24 at the Park Inn and Suites in
Eau Claire. The featured speaker is C. Edward Wardle of the Center on
Philanthropy at Indiana University.
In addition, Julie
Poquette (News Bureau) and Mindy
Merryfield (Publications) will lead a
roundtable discussion titled "Development Writing and Design for
Print and Web." Vicky Petermann,
(Development/Alumni Relations), will lead
a discussion titled "Research to Find the Best Prospects."
Heidi Fisher, (Development/Alumni
Relations), will lead a discussion titled
"Annual Giving — Direct Mail and Beyond."
The conference is sponsored by the UW-Eau Claire
Center of Excellence for Faculty and Undergraduate Student Research
Collaboration, the UW-Eau Claire Foundation, the chair for Long-term
Care at the University of Minnesota and CHASE — the Center for
Health and Aging Services Excellence.
