Saturday Morning Psychology Class to Offer
Non-traditional Students More Flexibility
EAU CLAIRE - University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and Continuing Education/UW-Extension will offer "Psychology 100" from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday mornings, Sept.11 through Dec. 11. The course, created specifically for working adults, will be held in Room 202 of the Human Sciences and Services Building on Water Street.
“I often hear comments from adults returning to school that indicate a real need for classes such as the Psych 100 course being offered this fall," said Bonnie Isaacson, a UW-Eau Claire adult opportunity adviser who works closely with non-traditional students. "Many adults are continuing to work part-time or even full-time while attending school, and many have families to juggle their schedules around."
Isaacson said the Saturday morning time slot offers working students with families more flexibility, as well as an opportunity to enroll in a course at UW-Eau Claire with other nontraditional students who have similar commitments and concerns.
Graham Davis, a nontraditional student, full-time employee, husband and father of two, said that the Saturday meeting schedule will open new doors and increase his ability to succeed in college.
