Desire2Learn
UW-Eau Claire currently supports Desire2Learn (D2L) as the campus course management system (CMS) for web-based and web-enhanced instruction. This page is designed as a gateway to resources related to D2L.
Most UW-Eau Claire instructors use D2L to enhance traditional face-to-face courses. There are, however, several courses that are offered completely online through D2L. Visit the UW-Eau Claire Online website for more information on totally online courses and for a listing of available online courses.

Course Access 
NOTE: D2L maintenance is every Tuesday morning from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Please avoid using D2L during this time period.
Course Requests
Faculty and Instructional Academic Staff can complete the D2L Course Request Form online to request that a D2L course be created for each of their classes.

- All UW-Eau Claire instructors who are teaching with D2L receive a monthly electronic newsletter called "D2L eNews." General Information
- Logging in to D2L
When logging in to D2L, use the same username/password information that you use when accessing your UW-Eau Claire e-mail account.
- D2L Supported Browsers
When using a Windows machine, users should access D2L using one of the following browsers:
- Internet Explorer, v. 6.0, 7.0
- Netscape, v. 7.2
- Mozilla, v. 1.7
- Firefox v. 1.5, 2.0
When using a Mac with OS X, users should access D2L using one of the following broswers:
- Netscape, v. 7.2
- Mozilla, v. 1.7
- Safari, v. 1.3, 2.0
- Firefox, v. 1.5, 2.0
- Running a System Check
You may run a D2L system check to determine if your computer is compatible with D2L by going to the D2L Login Page and clicking on the “Click here to do a system check!” link. If anything fails, you should follow the directions to fix the problem before using D2L.
