President E-Mail - October 30 Part 1 & 2, 2007

Hello NBA'ers! Indianhead is quickly approaching!!

Just a heads up on the 'potluck' for this Thursday. It will be held by the gracious and ever beautiful Ms. Jennifer Tinberg, at her house, which is located at 809 5th Avenue. Live on campus? Don't worry! We'll be meeting in the Haas Circle at 7:45 to drive over! That said, if you have a car and are able to drive, please help out!

Menu includes: Entreés, Sides, Desserts, Munchies, and Utensils/Plates/etc.

I have not yet heard from anyone on what they are intending to bring, so please let me know ASAP if you have something in mind. That way, I can send out a "we still need..." list so that people can have some ideas. We need disposable plates, bowls, utensils, and napkins...those are a given. So maybe two to three people could volunteer that?

This potluck will be our informational meeting for the Indianhead Honor Band. Thus, your attendance is strongly encouraged! There are a lot of things that need to be done for this community outreach project, and all of your efforts are appreciated.

I will be posting the volunteer positions early this evening on the NBA board. Along with those positions, there will be a master schedule of events, and a brief description of each position. Ashley Singer has already "laid dibs upon" the afternoon panic person position. Attached, you'll find the sign-up form. If you already know that you'd like a certain position, let me know by 5pm tonight, and I'll type your name in before it's printed and placed on the NBA board.

I'll keep this e-mail short--if you need more information, please contact me. I look forward to seeing you all at the meeting on Thursday!

I hope your semesters are treating you well--let's make this a great event!

All the best,
Mike Vallez, President - NBA-CC (UW-Eau Claire)

Hello all. I hope your days are treating you well! Keeping this succinct...please do not skim this. It's very important!!

-The volunteer positions are posted on the NBA board. Please sign up. If you do not, the exec board will hunt you down. Promise. :) If you can't help on Saturday at all, ask me how you can help THIS week. I've got a recital on Monday right after all this, so any help is greatly appreciated.

-Read the attached schedule thoroughly to help understand what's going on for Indianhead. More will be explained at the potluck on Thursday.

-Regarding the potluck. I STILL haven't heard back from anyone regarding menu items they intend to bring. I need to hear back, or we'll have to cancel the potluck. :( I can't plan the "menu" without knowing what you've got in mind. Too much of cheesy potatoes can be a bad thing!! :)

-Attendance at the meeting on Thursday isn't required, but is strongly encouraged. There's a faint line between the two. If you can't make it, let me know beforehand so I can fill you in on the details.

-Also, my car isn't working, so I'll need some help in picking up food/snacks from the grocery store. If someone can go with me Friday afternoon, I'd be incredibly appreciative!

This is the busiest time of the semester--let's push through this week and make the Indianhead Honor Band a great success!!

The very best,
Mike Vallez
