Minutes - October 4, 2007

Hello!
I hope you are all having a great semester! I have some volunteering information for you, since some NBA events are coming up pretty fast. As you may remember, one of the services NBA offers to the music department is providing receptions after band concerts. We need three volunteers to run the reception this Sunday, October 14 for the Symphony Band and Wind Symphony concert. If you are in Wind Symphony, you cannot volunteer since it's the end of the concert. You will need to come during the second half of the performance (but you'll all already be there, right?) to get the supplies and set up in the lobby. If you can help out, please contact Mike Vallez (vallezma). If you can't this time, don't worry...there are a few more.
I also wanted to let you know that you will most likely be getting emails soon about helping out with the Indianhead Honor Band, which is the first weekend in November. We'll send more information on that as it gets closer, but if you receive any emails about helping the band office or anything else regarding the honor band, please consider volunteering - the band office really appreciates the help!

Last week we heard from Jeff Reitz on instrument repair. If you couldn't make it and want to get copies of the hand outs, talk to an exec member and we can help you out. Some reminders - the Milwaukee Symphony is playing tomorrow night in Zorn - you get a $1 off if you pick up a coupon outside of the music office and get your ticket at the Service Center before noon.

See you at the band concert!

Jennifer Tinberg
NBA-CC Secretary
