NBA minutes 9/14

Hello! Here are some reminders from the first meeting.

We covered some basics about the goals, member privileges, and projects associated with the National Band Association. As a chapter, we do various things including receptions for concerts, organizing the Indianhead Honors Band, reading bands, and hosting guest speakers. We would like to do some more work in the community and get going on some fundraising for the composition project. Registration is due this Thursday, September 27th! Please get that to Brian Handeland as soon as possible.

Thursday at 8pm is also our first general meeting. We’ll be having a reading band, so pull out your tech instruments and have some friends come to enjoy some great early band music!

Sept 27 - Reading band

Oct 4 - General meeting – Jeff Reitz on Instrument Repair

Oct. 11 - 7:30 - Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra concert

Oct 14 - Band Reception

Oct 25 – Speaker or progressive dinner

Nov 3 – Indianhead Honor Band Clinic/concert/reception

Nov 8 – General meeting or progressive dinner

Nov 29 – General meeting

Dec 13 – Wrap up social

The NBA board outside the choir room will be updated so you can check for news there! Make sure you take a look at our website, turn in your registration and mark your planners for reading band!
