Hi Everyone!

*We are planning a band trip to see the U of M Wind Ensemble on Tuesday Nov. 21 at 7:30.  Keep it in mind, more details to come!

*Be thinking about becoming certified at voter registration---please refer to Tim's emails. It would be great to have someone step up!

*We will be in charge of concessions, set up, and many other things for the Indianhead Honors Band on Saturday Nov. 4.  Please keep this day open!  Also keep in mind that we will need help setting up on Friday November 3rd. 

*Our Next meeting will be Thursday, October 12th at 8PM.  Andrei Streizek will be talking about his experiences as a new teacher as well as taking over Chi Hi's program after the tragedy last fall.  Come with questions!

*There will be a social movie/game night at Tim's TONIGHT at 8 in Chancellors 523.  Come have some fun!

*Dr. Heidel provided us with magazines, cds, and other useful materials!

*Then we had an awesome Reading Band!
*We played:
1. The Crossings (Robert Sheldon) --Repetitive but great for teaching style.  Likely for a 7th grade band.
2. Celebration for Winds (John Edmonson)
3. Pevensey Castle (Robert Sheldon)--Very popular work for middle school (probably a good 8th grade ensemble.  Variation of style, dynamics.

Thanks to Millie, Tim, and Mike for conducting.  You guys were great!
