Hello everyone

Well, we just had our first meeting, and we already have our first mass e-mail of the year.  One important issue that we unfortunately neglected to touch upon was the issue of who has and has not received the Selective Music List.  I guess that there have been a few mix ups on whether on not students are supposed to receive it or not, and the official word is that yes, we should have been receiving it all along.  So, if you were a member last year and you did NOT receive a Selective Music List (you probably would have remembered it if you had) please respond let me know at baumantw@uwec.edu. We will try to get one to you right away.

And now for the meeting minutes:

We started our meeting with an icebreaker involving toilet paper and got to know a little bit about everyone.

We talked about what NBA is, events and speakers for the year, ideas for socials, fundraising ideas, and our website (www.uwec.edu/nba).  We also discussed the possibility of a road trip to a concert--thanks for the idea Ashley!

We would like to sell Band Department hoodies and window clings as a fundraiser.  We are in the process of planning a social (date TBD).  Any and all ideas are welcome! 

Our next meeting will be a Reading Band on Thursday, September 28th at 8PM.

All Membership forms and dues are due by Thursday, September 28th to Brian Handeland.  Dues are $28 ($25 for national fees and $3 for chapter fees).  If you do not have a form, pick one up on the NBA board outside the choir room.

It was so great to see all of you at Thursday's meeting!  I am really excited about NBA this year!
