Mallory Prucha Rishoi, originally from Omaha, Nebraska, joined the UW-Eau Claire Music and Theatre Arts Department in the fall of 2007 as Costume Designer and Costume Shop Supervisor. Mallory has a M.A degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where she also obtained a B.A. degree in Studio Arts. She also completed some study at Boston University in the MFA in Costume Design Program. In the summer of 2008, Mallory will begin her 8th season of work with the Nebraska Shakespeare Festival as Costume Designer for their productions of King Lear and Much Ado About Nothing. Her former positions within the organization include two previous seasons as Costume Designer, Master Cutter/Draper and Master Dyer, as well as Special Projects Assistant in which she created a rendering that was presented to NEA Chairman Dana Gioia. Furthermore, she has been the recipient of a two week fellowship with the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, which granted her the opportunity to study Theatrical Design with world-renown designers Ming Cho Lee and Constance Hoffman at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
