a) Chromatic: low B-flat to top of student's range
b) Major scales: two octaves - C, F, Bb, Eb, Ab, G, D, A, E
2. Prepared work(s) exhibiting flexibility, lyrical and technical qualities. Genres of prepared works should include contrasting styles from the baroque, classical, and 20th century musical periods. Entrance auditions on trumpet should be equal to the performance proficiency required for Class A solos on the Wisconsin School Music Association's State Contest list. See suggested repertoire below.
