The meeting was held on Tuesday, January 30th 2007 at 5:00pm in HFA 160.

1). Attendance

~ All new members need to pay $4.00 to Kristine Becker to join in with all our

amazing social events and activities.

~ For New members: If you want you can pay the whole price if you want to be

recognized for a semester by the State MENC Org. and receive the magazine, otherwise $4.00 will cover the University’s charge.

2). 5 Minutes of Advocacy by Millie!

~ Make sure you’re checking the board for the Trivia question and get extra

points and possibly a special prize.

~ MIOSM “Music In Our Schools Month” which is the month of March.

~ Shadow Day is coming up watch for that date. Area High School Students will

come and follow volunteered CMENC people. Hopefully they choose to

come to school here.

3). Schedules

~ These were handed out, Get one if you don’t have one!!!

~ Meeting time and date has changed

~ No social meeting on April 17th,

~ Social meeting Feb 13th, Food provided, We’re making Valentine’s Day Card’s

Bring glitter or whatever you would like to decorate with.

4). Food Booths – Kristine

~ Jazz Fest Food Booth

~ Need to get a committee together! If you would like to help email Kristine.

~ Just a head’s up!! For State Solo/Ensemble you must work at the CMENC Food

Booth during the time you are NOT assigned to another place by the

music department.

5). Statewide Initiative for MIOSM

~ Need a committee to go to schools and get students involved. Let Ashley know

if you would be willing to help out on this.

6). Planning Ahead

~ National MENC/WSMA Convention will be held close to home in Milwaukee!!

~ Put it on your calendar, don’t miss this, it’s once in a lifetime!!!

~ April 9-12 2008

7). Mini-Conference

~ UW-Steven’s Point, Feb. 17th all day, Very cheap $10.00

~ You get to pick sessions, network and have free lunch!

~ Watch for emails to sign up for rides and motels if needed, turn in money.

8). CookBook

~ There’s more available. Come and purchase yours TODAY!!!
