A new journalist will soon be pounding the pavement to find a job in the press world.
Steve Kosanovich, a junior print journalism major at the University of
Wisconsin-Eau Claire is hoping to land a job at a large newspaper to report on issues that truly interest him. Kosanovich is a political science major, and is also interested in sports communication.
Kosanovich says, "I enjoy writing, but not novels or books. I'm good at putting facts into words."
Kosanovich was born in Madison and grew up in Watertown, Wisconsin. Eau Claire was a nice change from both cities, because it is just the right size for Kosanovich. He likes the growing city of Eau Claire quite a bit, and decided that the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire was a good
school to attend.
Kosanovich says, "I haven't found school to be too stressful. If you go to school and do your homework, you shouldn't have any stress."
Outside of working towards his journalism career, Kosanovich enjoys playing basketball, going out with friends, and he loves his weekends.
What can you expect from him? Kosanovich explains, "I want to try to do
something important, like uncover something. If you can find something big that's a secret, you are keeping the people informed. I enjoy the idea of becoming a part of the story."
And becoming a part of a story, he is.
