Computational Science

Computational Science is an interdisciplinary field that bridges the gap between the scientist or engineer, the applied mathematician and the computer programmer. It is not ‘the science of computing’, but combines depth of knowledge in a particular scientific discipline with knowledge of mathematics, computer languages and architecture. Students at UWEC can choose the Computational Science Minor to compliment a variety of degrees in the Sciences, Mathematics or Business.
