Eighteen local high schools from western Wisconsin and eastern Minnesota participated in the 27th annual regional Mathematics Meet held February 21, 2009. Below are the winning teams and individuals. | Class AAA | ![]() In the large school division, AAA, the Discrete Fleet from Eau Claire Memorial was the first place winner. The Discrete Fleet team, sponsored by Mark Slepica, featured Nolan Kriener, Thomas Kokemoor, Patrick Lam, Brianna Nicolet, Sam Swanson, and Noah Williams. |
| Class AA | ![]() In the medium school AA division team event, a Stanley-Boyd team, Zahlen, took first place. Sponsored by Erika Koenig, the Zahlen members include Alex Hebert, Neil Hebert, Anthony Kirckof, Tyler Mahal, Lindsey Sorensen, and Joey Stuettgen. |
| Class A | ![]() The Mad Science Academy, a team from the Math & Science Academy in Woodbury, Minnesota, took first place honors in the small school division A. Allison Crump, Cindy Engman, Steven Hartz, Kyle Osborne, Aren Siekmeier, and Matt Tianen formed the team with Lauren Zachman as team sponsor. |
| Class AAA | ![]() The Eau Claire Memorial team, Deriving Force, sponsored by Deb Smeija took second place. Team members include Casey Bresser, Luke Dovre, Kaitlin Forke, Katelyn Johnston, Mark Van De Loo, and Elizabeth Westendorf. |
| Class AA | ![]() Taking second place in Class AA was Fireheads, a team from Somerset High School sponsored by Richard Thompson. David Blair, Luke Buerkley, Michael Meyers, Geoff Oehme, Mack Ott, and Johanna Smith comprised the Firehead team. |
| Class AA | ![]() Viroqua Vectors from Viroqua High School also took second place, tying the Fireheads. Sponsored by John Lendosky, the Viroqua Vectors included Megan Johnson, Julie Mulvaney-Kemp, Andrew Nordberg, Adam Sordahl, Joe Tunks, and Katie Wendorf. |
| Class A | ![]() Second place in division A went to Regis High School team, Fractured Factorials. The team, sponsored by Sam Jackson, included Mahmoud Ahmed, Brian Farley, Matt Fialkowski, Jackie Kapla, Heekyung Lim, and Dan-ni Lin. |
| Class AAA | ![]() Noah Williams of Eau Claire Memorial took first place in Class AAA individual honors and was offered a UW-Eau Claire scholarship for 4-credit hours. |

| Class A | Allison Crump of the Math & Science Academy, Woodbury, placed third and received a 2-credit hour scholarship. |
| Class AAA | Kevin Parker from Eau Claire Memorial High School, took fourth place and was offered a 1-credit hour UW-Eau Claire scholarship. |
| Class AA | Fourth Place in Class AA when to Somerset High School student, Johanna Smith. She was offered a 1-credit hour scholarship. |
| Class A | Elizabeth Meinen of McDonell High School captured fourth place and a 1-credit hours scholarship to UW-Eau Claire. |
