JOHN KRAJEWSKI MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  1. be enrolled at UWEC for at least 8 semester credits (including at least one mathematics course), have declared mathematics as their major (or minor), and
  2. be of Freshman or Sophomore standing and have completed Mathematics 114 in one of the last two semesters (or Summer Session), OR be a Freshman (First Year Student) and have completed a mathematics course numbered 215 or above (excluding Math 245).
  3. have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher.

Application Procedure

Complete an application form. Forms are available in the Mathematics Department Office (HHH 508) or online (Word doc).

February 20

Selection Procedure

Selection will be based on demonstrated performance and potential in mathematics. The Mathematics Department Awards Committee will solicit recommendations from the applicant's former and present mathematics instructors. Based on these recommendations, possible consultation with the instructor(s) involved, and the written statement, the Awards Committee will then select the recipient of the award.

Selection Deadline

March 1

Notification

The recipient of the scholarship will receive official notification and be honored at the University Awards Banquet.
