On Friday, February 25, 2011, ET (Educational Technology), CETL (Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning) and LTS (Learning and Technology Services) will present the second annual showcase of faculty and staff who are using Web 2.0 tools and other technologies in their coursework to enhance student engagement and learning.
At the Tools for Teaching website you will find the program schedule, session topics, and presenters. Come and see how your colleagues are ramping up their instruction in the digital age of the 21st century. Sessions begin on the hour beginning at 9:00 a.m. with the last session of the day starting at 2:00 p.m. There will be refreshments beginning at 8:30 a.m. and lunch at noon is on your own.
Presenters are local and regional faculty from UW-Eau Claire, UW-Stout, UW-River Falls, and UW-Barron County. Topic examples include digital story telling, podcasting, and the use of social media in teaching. The event is sponsored by a grant from UW-System Learning Technology Development Council.
