UW-Eau Claire Has a New Search Engine

Web Development Services has just launched a new web search service using the Google Search Appliance. You will find the new search via any of the top-level web pages or other sites using CommonSpot (you will recognize them by the latest design features). You can also get directly to the search by going to http://www.uwec.edu/search.

The new search gives us an updated look and improved search results. It also gives us many of the same features we are used to such as Quick Matches (to ensure that the most significant result shows first), Spelling Suggestions (for commonly misspelled terms), and Synonyms (for recommended alternate terms).

The previous search engine is still in operation and will be used by other sites until they are converted to CommonSpot.
