All University computers will have Microsoft Office 2007 (for Windows) or 2008 (for Macintosh) installed as of May 24, the first day of the three-week summer session.
If you would like either program installed before that date, fill out the request form available at the BITS website. Office 2008 is available for faculty and staff Macintosh computers upon request.
For help to familiarize yourself with the new software, email training@uwec.edu or call 836-5157 to request one-on-one assistance or to schedule a group orientation for Office 2007 or 2008. You can also view Office 2007 videos and resources on the BITS website.
Training for faculty and staff on the new Microsoft Office applications began in January of 2007. LTS has been deploying Office 2007 by request on all faculty and staff computers since the spring of 2007. The Admissions Department volunteered to be the first group to upgrade to the software; hundreds of other groups and individuals have come to training and successfully completed the upgrade. All general access lab computers were upgraded to Office 2007 during the first summer session of 2007.
