Update: Campus Solutions (CampS) Implementation

UW-Eau Claire is continuing work on the CampS project on the topic of the transition from its current in-house developed administrative computing system (home of MyBlugold and other administrative featuers) to the UW System-directed PeopleSoft Campus Solutions software package.  Offices will begin to see changes in the next 18 months when implementation begins its rolling go-live plan.

Some of the activities that will be happening this spring include:

• Implementation consultants arriving on campus.  They and other functional lead people will be housed with existing LTS development staff in the Old Library 2100 area.
• Continuing technical and functional training.
• Beginning configuration and setup of the new database.
• Beginning configuration and setup of a data warehouse to provide reporting capabilities for the new database.
• Examining campus policies to see if some can be simplified to reduce the number of customizations required in the new system.
