about this tutorial graphic About this Tutorial

Technical Considerations:
Due to imagemaps and colored tables, this tutorial is best run on browsers that are versions 3.0 and up. For those who prefer to browse without images, there is a "text only" option.

Development Team:
The Research Tutorial was developed by a working group of the Council of Wisconsin Libraries (COWL) Distance Education Committee. COWL is the governing board of a consortium of 500 multitype libraries in Wisconsin. The working group was composed of librarians from five of the University of Wisconsin campuses: Eau Claire, Green Bay, Madison, Parkside, and Platteville.

The goal of the tutorial working group was to produce a flexible and generic research-oriented instruction module intended for use by all students of the University of Wisconsin new to the research process, but particularly geared for students taking courses at a distance, who might not have convenient access to in-person library instruction.
