Overdue Notices & Fines

Overdue Notices

The first overdue notice is sent five (5) days after the due date. A second overdue notice is sent ten (10) days later. Fifty (50) days after the second overdue notice, the item is billed as lost.

Once an overdue item is returned or declared lost, a single fine notice is sent to the patron.

Fines

Failure to pay fines/fees promptly will result in a block on borrowing privileges when the amount reaches $10. All fine/fee payments are made at the Main Circulation Desk. At the end of each semester, patrons with outstanding obligations to the library may be referred to a collection agency.
