Periodicals Policies and Procedures

REQUESTING A PERIODICAL SUBSCRIPTION:
Request forms are available in the Technical Services unit (3rd floor), in pdf format or from academic department bibliographers.

LOCATING INFORMATION IN PERIODICALS:
Access to journal, magazine, and newspaper articles is through indexes and abstracts; most are located online with older print indexes in the Reference Department. Reference librarians can suggest the most appropriate topical indexing sources. The Databases by Topic page will also lead you to appropriate indexes.

PERIODICAL CHECKOUT:
Unbound issues of periodicals may be checked out for one day; they may not be renewed. Bound journals or those in microformat may not be checked out.
