  • Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy  
    Literacy journal published exclusively for teachers of older learners; from the International Reading Association (IRA).
  • School Library Journal  
    Book reviews of current K-12 literature, as well as adult books for young adults; articles and interviews, mostly on school librarianship.
  • Voice of Youth Advocates (VOYA)

  • Bowker's Books in Print: A huge database of all the books currently available in print. Can limit searches to age level, subject, fiction/nonfiction, award-winners, etc., so is great for finding books on themes. Provides lengthy annotations.
  • Children's Literature Comprehensive Database : Another huge database of titles. Again, can limit searches to age level, subject, fiction/nonfiction, award-winners, etc., so is great for finding books on themes. Provides short annotations and full-text reviews.
