Too many or unrelated results?
Try:
- Adding another term or criteria to your search. Sometimes this means focusing your topic (e.g. if your search on the death penalty yields too many results, you may want to focus your search on the death penalty in Wisconsin)
- More specific terms (e.g. bioterrorism instead of terrorism)
- Using the database's LIMIT feature to limit your results to specified dates, language, place, population, article type, etc.
- Restricting your results to those in peer-reviewed (scholarly) journals, if this is important for your assignment. (This capability may not be available in all databases)
- Contacting a librarian for additional search advice
