Distance Education Library Services
To get journal articles not available in McIntyre Library
If McIntyre Library doesn't have the journal article you need, we may be able to get a copy from another library (through a service called Interlibrary Loan).
Getting articles from other libraries may take anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks. Plan ahead and give yourself plenty of time!
To order an article:
- Click the Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) link provided in the result screen. (Or go to the Interlibrary Loan-ILLiad screen).
- You will need a private i.d. number to log on. (See note below if you do not have a UW-Eau Claire account)
- Fill in the information about the article you need. (If you connected via the Find It result screen, this information will already be completed). Be sure to respond "yes" if you qualify for distance education delivery service.
Note: If you are in a UW-Eau Claire course but enrolled at another campus, you should request the article through the Interlibrary Loan service at your home campus.
Contact a librarian with your questions.
