Collection Development Department

The Collection Development staff coordinates the selection and acquisition of the library’s collections, including books, serials, audiovisual materials, and electronic products. The Collection Development staff work closely with librarians and University faculty to select materials to support the educational missions of the entire University. Faculty and staff recommendations for purchases are encouraged. Requests should be routed through each department’s Bibliographer. Recommendations from students and other users are also considered. The form to be used by students and other non-faculty is here.

The Collection Development department also administers the library’s materials budget, grant funds, and invoice processing for all library materials. Gifts to the McIntyre Library collections are received and processed by the Collection Development staff.

The Collection Developement department is located on the library's third floor, room 3040, in the Technical Services area.
