Leonard E. Gibbs obituary.
Although the evidence here uses the example of prostate cancer, Len’s chief reason for writing the letter was to help readers to apply the process of evidence-based practice to more effectively work with their helping professional as a team member for their own care. The letter contains many links to aid in each step of the evidence-based process.
We hope that this website will help others to avoid what has happened to our family. We hope that by reading about the process of evidence-based practice you can help yourself and others whom you love and care about. We ask that, if you find this website useful, you forward it to those whom you love and care about to help them, and that they do the same. It is our greatest hope that someone will apply the process in Len's Letter (PDF) (MS Word) to discover a problem early enough, locate an effective treatment, or prevent a problem. If anyone has such an experience because of what we have placed here, please let us know at www.caringbridge.org, visit, Len Gibbs.
