What is it all about ...

Virtual worlds, YouTube, mobile computing, social networking, Twitter, Ning, Twine, friends... The possibilities are exciting, but sometimes overwhelming. And questions are a lot easier to find than answers. How do they impact student learning? How do I choose what to use? How do I keep up with it all?

Please join us Thursday October 29 and Friday October 30 in Madison while we help you make sense of it all.

UW System’s Learning Technology Development Council(LTDC) is very happy to sponsor this two-day technology conference. It’s an opportunity for faculty and teaching staff across UW System to share their expertise, best practices and innovative ideas on how technology can make a difference in teaching and learning in this new and changing environment.

Three exciting keynote speakers will share their visions for educating students in the 21st century. All are nationally-recognized experts in the role of technology in teaching and learning. In addition, invited presentations will represent the best work from the UW campuses in teaching and learning with technology. Conference participants will also have a chance to work hands-on with the latest in Web 2.0 technologies.

Most importantly, the conference offers faculty and teaching staff quality professional development and networking opportunities, all without leaving Wisconsin! Our goal is to inspire you to see the value of teaching and learning with technology. We hope participants go back to their campuses and spread their knowledge, ideas, and inspiration to others.

Who should attend ...

Faculty, teaching staff, and learning technologies staff are welcome to participate. However, due to the limited size of the conference facility, each campus is invited to assemble a campus team of four participants for this conference. If you are interested in being a member of your campus team, please contact your campus LTDC representative or learning technology office for details. Check this website for your current LTDC representative: http://www.uwsa.edu/olit/ltdc/reps/index.html

UW System’s Learning Technologies Development Council is sponsoring registration, travel expenses, up to two nights of lodging at the designated hotel, and all meals during the conference. All attendees must fill out the official online registration form to confirm their attendance. Campus LTDC representatives are responsible for ensuring that all participants from their campus are registered by the deadline.
