A Documentary on the Making of The Miracle Worker

The Assignment

    This project is part of the capstone for the UW-Eau Claire's Broadcast Journalism program.  Students who major in Broadcast are required to use this class to complete a semester long project that demonstrates the mastery of their field's skills.  The project also requires that the final product be placed in the public domain.

        I decided to incorporate my Theatre minor into this project and produce a video documentary of the making of a play at our university.  The video attempts to chronicle the development of the production of a university play.

        It is the purpose of this video to take the viewer through the process of putting on a play, allowing him or her to experience the excitement that comes along with putting on a production.  Ultimately, my hope is that the video will intrigue viewers and encourage them to become involved with the theatre arts.
