Our first stop in the Pacific
Northwest was the Hood Canal Bridge at 2pm. The Hood
Canal was formed into a long narrow inlet of salt water
located along the eastern edge of the Olympic Peninsula. The beach we
investigated was a pebble beach that contained well-rounded igneous clasts
(5-10 cm in diameter).
