Stop 29 Watchman Overlook

The most impressive overlook of Zion Canyon is from Watchman Overlook.  The stunning view from this location, like no other spot in the canyon, shows the spectacular sequence of bedrock formations that exist throughout the park.  Shinarump Conglomerate is visible at the base of the canyon and the progression up to the limestone caps of the Carmel Formation is easily visible here.
