Our final day in Death Valley National Park. After watching the sun rise at Zibriskie Point, an overlook known for its striking badlands topography located on the northern end of Death Valley at the base of the Funeral Mountains, we began heading south through the valley on California State Road 190 and 178. Several stops were made along the way, including Mushroom Rock, Devil’s Golf Course, Natural Bridge Canyon, Badwater Basin, and Shoreline Butte, all of which will be discussed in detail below. Upon reaching the park’s southern limits, we continued traveling south on California State Road 127 to Interstate 15. We stopped here in Baker, California for dinner and ate at the infamous Mad Greek Restaurant, a true culinary pleasure. From Baker, California we drove south through the Mojave National Preserve along Kelbaker Road until we reached Interstate 40. We headed east along I-40 until we arrived in Flagstaff, Arizona where we spent the night.
