Recreation and Environmental Consultants-REC

REC is a consulting firm based out of Eau Claire, WI, and it is managed jointly by Nikki Wruck, Josh Dirks, and Brent Hove.  Its purpose is to create recreational facilities that enhance the beauty of any area for the visitor, while at the same time protecting the environment.  REC analyzes current information to provide the most environmentally sensitive recreational services to people of all ages and stature.

For this research project, REC analyzed the current dataset of St. Vincent Island and developed several plans as to how to improve the recreational facilities and aesthetic beauty of the island.  By examining key factors, such as existing buildings, landuse, rivers, roads, relief, shorelines, and soils, REC was able to establish several biking trails, camping facilities, and boat launching areas.
