Photo 2: Fishway in Marble Bluff Dam

    A fish-way was built on the right bank of the Trukee River, along highway 447.  During spawning season, the fish of Pyramid

Lake swim up the Trukee River to reproduce.  When the dam was built, the fish were no longer able to reach their destination;

therefore, a fishway was built to aid the many species of fish in their journey to spawn.
